A two-movement piano piece inspired by Canadian pioneer Joseph Robson's quote regarding the policy of the Hudson's Bay Company (HBC): "The Company has for eighty years slept at the edge of a frozen sea”. This piece was inspired by the idea of a Hudson's Bay voyager, sitting at the edge of their camp and staring out into the vast wintry expanse.
